We are deeply grateful for several generous grants that have been made to Dr Johnson’s House Trust which are enabling us to advance our House of Words strategic priorities.

Support from the Ardeloa Trust is enabling us to commission a thorough business plan to inform future decisions and planning. As a small, independent charity, this is critical if we are to maximize our impact in an inclusive and effective, but also cost efficient, manner.

Another grant from The John R. Murray Charitable Trust has allowed us to commission architectural plans to explore how lift access can be provided to visitors as well as for the House’s refurbishment, improved lighting, and other enhancements.

Complimenting this work are access and eco audits that have recently been funded for us by the City Bridge Foundation. CBF's Bridge Programme have also supported an expert situational analysis and action plan from William Welch of the Ubele Initiative.
