Private Dining
Dating from the 1690s, the House is an evocative setting for dining experiences. From intimate client lunches and cosy candlelit dinners, to large-scale celebratory feasts, we are the perfect setting for all occasions.
The House provides a variety of dining spaces including the elegant Withdrawing Room, intimate Library and light-filled Garret. With the addition of food, flowers, lighting and music we can create an experience to remember.
As you are able to hire the whole townhouse, the entire building can become yours, with the ability to hold pre-dinner drinks, or even post-dinner cocktails and desserts, in separate spaces.
A short introductory talk about the remarkable history of Dr Johnson's House and its inhabitants can also be included.
