Opening Times Admission Prices
Dr Johnson's House is open to the public throughout the year, from Monday to Saturday.

The opening hours are:
11am - 5.30pm (May to September)
11am - 5pm (October to April)

The House is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

For 2009 only, there will be late night openings (until 8.30pm) on the first Thursday of every month.

By Bus
All routes to Aldwych, Chancery Lane, Fleet Street or St. Paul's.
Bus numbers 4, 11, 15, 23, 26, 76 and 172 run along Fleet Street.

Group Visits Private Views
Guided tours are available to pre-booked groups at no extra charge.

To book a tour, please contact Stephanie Pickford at curator@drjohnsonshouse.org. Group rates are £3.50 per person.

Evening guided tours for groups are available, when the house is closed to the public.

Charges are from £10 per person, with optional wine and/or light buffet provided. Prices on application.

Wheelchair Access Shop
It is regretted that owing to the age of the house, there are many unavoidable steps.

The House shop stocks a selection of books, booklets, posters and souvenirs.
